The Nel Apartments are nearby the village center immediately on the central sandy beach of  Panormo which is sheltered by a small harbour dam.
During daytime, hourly public busses go to Rethymnon (21 kms) and Iraklion (63 kms).
Iraklion airport is 69 kms away, Hania airport 85 kms. With respect to the motor highway's winding character, transfer times from and to the airports must not be underestimated.
